How to Finance Your Child’s Education

Presented by Sanjay A. Das CFP®

Seattle Central Community College
March 14, 2012 from 6-9pm

Trying to maneuver through the financial maze that is known as “education financing” can be quite hazardous. Please join us for this informative presentation in which we will discuss the various types of education accounts (529 plans, UTMA, GET, Coverdell, Roth IRA) and go over the pro’s and con’s of each.

We will also discuss alternative funding options and explain the tax ramifications of the different types of accounts. Education funding does not mean you have to put your retirement on hold so we will talk about allocating resources and how much you might need to fund your child’s college expenses.
